Yoga and pregnancy
Started only on the 7th month of pregnancy, the mental and physical preparation for childbirth is of little use for a good course of pregnancy and childbirth without problems. The ideal is to follow a program starting from the earliest months and being carried out with gradual and progressive changes until the end of pregnancy.
Practicing yoga pregnant women learn how to keep the body agile and flexible without excessive fatigue, to tone the abdominal and perineal muscles and strengthen the spine. They learn how to relax removing fears and anxieties and how to use the correct breathing to promote a state of calm and well-being also during the stages of labour and childbirth.
Yoga helps each woman to enter into a state of communion with herself and with her child and to live motherhood as a unique and full experience of spiritual evolution.
