Blue Lotus
International Volunteering Association

Teachers and students of the Yoga School Kalpa Vriksha Satyananda have founded the association "Blue Lotus" to support the activities of Sivananda Math with several initiatives:
from courses, conferences and Yoga seminars, to compilation of didactic materials, organization of theater performances, indian music concerts and second-hand markets;
by packaging artistic artefacts, greeting cards, calendars;
by signing distance adoptions for families, orphans and sick children;
by offering money for the purchase of medicines, farm animals, working tools, to build homes and develop the education of the populations of rural areas.

Each year the School of Yoga Kalpa Vriksha Satyananda organizes, for its students, a trip to Rikhia, India, Sivananda Math main office, where you don't attend yoga classes but become directly involved in the activities of preparation and delivery of indispensable articles to families in need through Karma Yoga and Seva Yoga, the Yoga of conscious and disinterested working and serving.

Ways to contribute helping those less fortunate are limited only by everyone's creativity and imagination.
And if you do not possess special skills or lack the time to participate actively in the initiatives, you can still offer a small sum of money, for which you'll receive regular receipt, and that you can deduct from individual income tax.
