Yoga and stress

Stress is considered to be, nowadays, one of the main causes of disease. Unnatural environmental conditions, faster rhythms of life, competitiveness at work, are just some of the factors of psychological tension we are daily subject to. Bad digestion, insomnia, anxiety, irritability, demotivation, are often the result of these tensions.

Sometimes stress is conscious, sometimes subconscious, but very often is unconscious. In the conscious mind stress is not very harmful, stored in the subconscious mind it's usually removed in the form of dream, but stress that we are not aware of, the stress we do not know, we do not understand, if continued over time, can create a break in the balance of physiological, mental and emotional functions.

Yoga practices are able to change the neuro-humoral response to stress: as they create conditions opposed to those of a hyper-stimulation of the sympathetic nervous system, they can correct the imbalances and the symptoms of anxiety resulting from nervous tension, and promote the process of recovery a good mental and physical health.
